What to feed your dog, the eternal dilemma!
For kibble, our dogs are
eating a variety of protein sources, either Orijen or Acana which are made by
the same company, Champion Pet Foods, here in Canada. All ingredients are made
here in Canada as well. The Orijen is higher in protein, but both can be grain
free. Both foods are rated five out of five by the Dog Food Advisor. You can read

We do not feed puppy food, but the adult food
only.

is the calculator to help you know how much to feed your adult dog
I
allow puppies over three months to eat as much as they want for about a 15
minute time frame twice a day.
In the evening our dogs are given home
cooked meat(usually chicken breasts) with veggies, sweet potato, occasionally
white potato, and rice.I put the chicken in a pot and cook for about 15 minutes
and then throw in everything else and cook it for about 45 minutes. The eggs are
boiled separately and chopped then added to the mixture. I then add wild salmon
oil and FasTrack (probiotic) to each serving
For their teeth they are
given deer antlers which are available at (wild salmon oil is here too): bully sticks. This goes a long way toward
keeping their teeth clean.
I also use Petzlife (available in most pet supply
stores) to brush their teeth. I apply it along the gums with a Q-tip and then
brush/wipe their teeth with a cotton swab or toothbrush. I am now using Leba III as well.
