Willow is now a US Champion

Here are the pictures of Willow and George at the Niagara Falls Show held several weeks ago.
Willow earned her American Championship at this show and George won his first major at six months and one of age. That's Sue Magoss standing in the picture. She is our new associate here at Sonrisas.
This past weekend George took Best of Winners for two more majors and now only has three more points to go for his AKC Championship.

ALI-Sparki Puppies - four weeks old

The best laid plans of mice and men- I left the power cord to my video camera at the dog show this past weekend so I can't capture the video I will get it when I see Sue and Adam Magoss next week in Romulus, NY.

Everything else was wonderful at the dog show - Willow finished her American Championship with a Best of Winners for a three point major and Sue got a three point major on her dog, Peluito’s Barbarito Diez,on the first day and I got a four point major on George (Sonrias George R Us) on the second day. First time on a lead in the ring for George without any training so I'm pretty excited about him. Also, Sue took Reserve each day with George's sister, Katie, (Sonrisas Primero Casero) who also just turned six months.

Hopefully, I can figure out how to use the new camera so I can take pictures of the puppies.

Hav joy,
Rita

Here's Eleanore and yes, their eyes are all open but they were sound asleep when I started taking their pictures.

Ali - Sparky Litter

I can't believe that the puppies are almost two weeks now. It's been a very busy time since I left two days after thier birth to go to the American Nationals Specialty in Chicago, where Miss Willow did very well for herself. I will post pictures later.
So here's the whole crew and we will post individual pictures after. We were hoping to reproduce Mojo in this litter and he certainly has put his facial markings on each of the pups - just look at the perfect blazes on each of them.

More Havanese and water

Here's the photographer's (Julie Verge) dog, Trixie. We're not too sure what breed Trixie is but she definitely doesn' t like the water. I want to make sure though that if she did accidentally fall in she knows where the steps are to get out.

I always take all the dogs into the pool at least twice to make sure that a) they know it is water and 2) how to get out of the pool.

Next time I will take the dogs in and point them away from the steps and if they turn around and head toward the steps then I know they have learned their pool steps lesson.

Havanese and Water

Summer is finally here

Here's Fred. He doesn' t seem to mind the water and I think in another week or so he'll be quite enthusiastic. Lusa seemed to want to investigate it more as well.

Thanks to our neighbor Julie Verge for her great photography skills.

Hav joy,
Rita

P.S. More to come.
