Visitors

We had visitors last night who will be getting a puppy in the spring. Hopefully there will be puppy with Lusa's hair colour so it can look just like the new owner.

Lusa will be bred on her next heat. I'm getting excited about this, it's been too long since we've heard the pitter patter of little feet.

Agility

I am so excited about George's progress in agility. I have found a fabulous new agility instructor - Lynn Inia at On Target Dog Training just north of Colborne. We are working on distance work and weaves and George is really starting to "get it". Mojo loves agility, but I never knew how to teach him to work at a distance and from hand signals alone so I couldn't compete him. I hope to get some video of George soon.

KoKo got her CARO Rally novice B title on Saturday and 1 leg in Novice
team. So proud of KoKo she was the smallest dog there and she got some
of the biggest scores 200 -1st trial tied for 1st but we where a
second slower so we got 2nd place .197- 2nd trial we got 3rd. 199=3rd
trial again tied for 1st but a little slower so we got 2nd and 199 in
team and got 1st place. We had some stiff competition as this is an
obedience club and some really nice working dogs.

The Lucy Show - two weeks today

All eyes are open and they are up on their feet. I've taken some video of the exercises that we do with them every day, but I hope to get video of them when they are moving around. Of course this only lasts a few minutes right now, and is usually associated with mom getting back into the whelping box and the pups trying to find her for dinner.

Here's Ricky - 292 grams. He is definitely black right now but I think his face is going to turn gray, but who knows about the rest of him?

Desi is the heaviest in the litter weighing in at 350. He is going to be very interesting to watch as he matures. He has brown ticking on his back and that is going to be very pretty.

This is Arnez, who weights 269 and is the smallest of the boys. He looks just like his father as a puppy so I've included a picture of his daddy for you to see.

Day 5 for Vivi and she weights in tonight at 280 grams. Look at he beautiful pigment!

The puppies are all very contented, well fed and happy. They're doing all the shivering and shaking while sleeping that shows their nervous systems are maturing and we have started the puppy stimulating exercises today. I love this litter!

Lucy / Rico Litter Due Aug 1.

Lucy was untrasounded today and it looks like we are having six or seven puppies. She's a nice healthy girl so let's hold our collective breaths and help Lucy along.

She is currently eating us out of house and home.
